NEW INFORMATION PLEASE READ!

The Deadline to turn in travel grant or research grant applications for the rest of April, May and June is April 10th. If you plan to travel in any of those months, you need to turn in your application by then.

As of July 1, 2006 students can only be approved for 1 travel grant per 1/2 fiscal year! For more information see GRANTS

As of March 2, 2007 we are now allowed to accept and fund international travel applications!

The BGC has a laptop computer that students may check out if approved for conference travel. Contact the BGC for more info.

Did you know that ...

Graduate students have unique needs that are as diverse and dynamic as the degrees we offer. Broward Student Government has established the Graduate Council to specifically address the needs of Broward’s Graduate Students. Among other things, the Council plays an active role in securing funding for graduate students’ travel and events. You can get involved by contacting our office. It’s involvement at your own pace: as little or as much as you want. Or, if you have an issue for the Graduate Council to look into, feel free to contact us.

Do you want to join the Council? If you are taking 50%of the graduate level classes on one of the four Broward Campuses, you are eligible to become a member of Broward Graduate Council. We meet twice per month to approve grants and debate a variety of projects. Contact the Grad Council Chair at bgc@fau.edu if you are interested in joining.
