Graduate
Grants:
Broward's Graduate
Students can get funding for travel and research by
applying for a Graduate Grant. All grants are subject to approval by the Council and are awarded on a
reimbursement basis only (so, keep your receipts!).

Student must be taking at least 50% of all credits
in Broward;

On-line courses are registered to the Boca campus

FAU full-time staff are not eligible to receive
funding

Applications

Students must contact the Travel Leaders at
561.297.3989 for air flight quote.

on “beating the quote.”

After travel -

original receipts must be
submitted to BGC within

You must provide a copy of the front page of your
program/agenda received at the
conference as well as a copy of the itinerary.

All receipts must be in the travelers name only!
Effective
immediately, grant awards are limited to the
following amounts:

Special Note:
As of July 1, 2006
students will only be awarded 1 grant per half a fiscal
year, with a maximum of $1,000 per fiscal year.
The fiscal year is divided into 2 halves: July 1 thru
Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 thru June 30.
Research Grants:
Apply for funding
to help pay for expenses related to your
research:
- Student must be enrolled in
Thesis/Dissertation credit hours in Broward at time
of expense;
- Must have a faculty member sign a justification
letter
- Does not cover expenses related to
routine class work (e.g. textbooks, lab fees, etc...)

students meet the conference, travel and research
